As popular and widespread as yoga these days, pilates also has tremendous benefits on posture, breathing, relaxation, overall well being and stress management. A pilates workout systematically addresses the whole body.
Emphasis is on body awareness, controlling body alignment, and correct breathing through concentration in order to promote efficient movement. The result is a strong flexible body, with muscles that are lengthened and toned. Through the process of regular Pilates sessions the body's structure realigns and eventually the body is able to move with maximum efficiency and minimum effort.
The sessions will consist of the more common floor based Pilates exercises. Yoga or Pilates mats would be needed for ongoing classes and we can provide these at discounted rates.
